Behind the campaign: The Warmth of Winter

It started with a map. Like all great adventures do.

We were searching for secluded swim spots and rugged mountainscapes. Somewhere that would put our gear through its paces. So we packed our bags, assembled our crew, and headed to the wild landscape of Eryri. Winter’s arrivals shouldn’t mean the adventures stop. All it takes is the right gear, a rough plan, and good people to feel the warmth of winter.

To bring the Warmth of Winter to life, we gathered an incredible crew of surfers, wild swimmers, and adventure-seekers - those who chase the elements and inspire us to embrace the season.

Meet the crew

Laura Truelove

Laura wears the Daleside Sherpa Lined Flannel Jacket and the Limited Edition Surf Towel.

Laura is founder of women's surf magazine and community Daughters of the Sea, and the wild swimming platform Wild Swim Wales. The platforms are dedicated to sharing the stories of connection and adventure to be found in the ocean and wild swim spots.

Hailing from the Gower in South Wales, we had to bring Laura along for our adventure in Eryri, tapping into her knowledge of secluded wild swim spots.

Seth Morris

Seth wears the Dawn Polar Fleece.

Seth is a surfer and actor from Pembrokeshire. He is eight times national champion and when not finding barrels in south wales, he's searching waves further afield.

Ellie Dixon

Ellie wear the Beacon Sherpa Fleece and the Elenna Swimsuit.

Ellie is a lifeguard and surfer currently on the search for waves in Indonesia. Also from Gower, Ellie has featured on the cover of Daughters of the Sea. On our trip to Eryri, she shared stories of close scrapes climbing around wales and was first to jump in the crystal clear water of the mountains pool. If there's a chance of adventure, Ellie will be there.

Ria Williams

Ria wears the Dawn Polar Fleece.

Ria is a model, surfer, and all-round adventure seeker. We invited Ria along for the trip to Eryri having recently returned from an extended trip exploring Australia's remote beaches.

Leon Fricker

Leon wears the Beacon Sherpa Fleece and the Flannel Shirt.

Leon is a pro golfer, travelling round the world to compete. Leon is no stranger to seeking adventure and taking the path less trodden. He was at home behind the wheel of the jeep as we darted across the wide beaches of North Wales, and once we wrapped, he made light work of summitting Tryfan.
