In this edition we meet local sewage pollution campaigner, we relive an incredible few days of swell on the island, along with a podcast recommendation from the team.<\/strong><\/p>

1. In pursuit of clean seas<\/strong><\/h2>

We invited Isle of Wight sewage pollution campaigner Chani Courtney to Rapanui HQ to chat about actions we can take to help end sewage pollution. Chani is a relentless campaigner, coordinating local action, meeting water companies and politicians in her pursuit for clean seas.\u00a0<\/p>

2. A special swell hits the island<\/h2>

<\/p>

We experienced a special few days here on the Isle of Wight, when a long period swell hit our shores, meaning perfect surf. There was only thing for it. Downing tools and joining the local surf community to share some incredible waves.\u00a0<\/p>

We don't often get swell like this, but when we do, our community\u00a0comes alive. It reminds of the importance to fight for clean and safe outdoor spaces for us all to get together, to bond, and make memories in the places we love.\u00a0<\/p>

It motivates us on our mission\u00a0to craft quality clothes for our fellow adventurers without waste.<\/span><\/p>

Here's hoping for more swells like this, this winter.<\/span><\/p>

3. How did we get here?<\/span><\/h2>

4. Island skies light up<\/h2>

We're fortunate to enjoy\u00a0dark skies in the UK above the Isle of Wight, which provides the perfect backdrop for witnessing the northern lights. Although typically associated with more northern latitudes, the island's clear, unpolluted night skies make it easier to catch glimpses during periods of heightened solar activity.<\/p>

When conditions are just right,\u00a0there's a chance to capture incredible moments like this one above St. Catherine's Oratory on island's south coast.\u00a0<\/p>
