Remember getting your first bra? It might have meant a trip to Tammy Girl. No underwires. No padding. Just a safe, comfy route into the world of being a teenager. And in the middle of the tough days of lockdown, many of us fell back in love with those more gentle, simple products. The ones that make us feel comfy like that. That\u2019s why we decided to redesign what the bra meant to us - reflecting on the future we\u2019d like to see.<\/span><\/p>

It turns out that when it comes to comfy lingerie, we were on the same wavelength as a lot of people. The organic bralette we designed launched just as sales of wireless bra styles doubled, and traditional bras have continued to drop in popularity, even since we made our way back to the office after WFH times. It\u2019s clear that more and more, we\u2019re prioritising how what we wear makes us <\/span>feel<\/span><\/em>, rather than just being bothered about how it makes us <\/span>look<\/span><\/em>. For a lot of us, unrestrictive underwear is undoubtedly a winner.<\/span><\/p>

Feeling confident in what you wear isn\u2019t just about the silhouette of the garment; it\u2019s also about the material that you wear against your skin. That\u2019s both a softness thing, and a sustainability thing. Try getting a good night\u2019s sleep when you know your PJs are polluting the planet. And bras are a tricky one, because all of those extra features make them hard to recycle - a whopping 19 million bras end up in landfill every year.<\/span> <\/span><\/em><\/strong>Plus, the average woman has twenty bras, but only regularly wears five of them.<\/span><\/p>

That\u2019s why our bralettes are made with organic cotton, and why we designed out all the wiring, plastic clasps and adjustable straps.<\/span><\/p>

And like every product we make, they\u2019re designed from the start to come back to us when they\u2019re worn out. We make new products from the materials we recover, like our<\/span> Remill<\/u><\/span><\/a> t-shirts and sweatshirts. Like all our products, our bralettes are <\/span>vegan<\/u><\/span><\/a>. Made by nature, to protect it.<\/span><\/p>

At the moment, you can get our bralettes in five lush colours and three sizes (S,M,L). We\u2019ve tried them out ourselves, and we reckon they comfortably accommodate up to a DD cup or up to a size 14, but we know that doesn\u2019t cover everyone\u2019s needs. When we introduce a new product, we start basic, and design collaboratively - the stories you share help us inform what size range to make next, and in what colours.
