Tour of Duty: The Eden Project
A couple of months ago we had an email from Mad Mike at the Eden project. He had heard about Rapanui and wanted to use us as a case study for the new 21st Century Living project (he's the big cheese). The first email ended "p.s. do you know my man Matt Harwood? The Ginger Ninja!" From then in the jokes didnt stop, we were in stitches, and we decided we had to go down and meet the man behind the hilarious emails that had become an office cult.
The Eden has too much to spiel out in a single blog, perhaps too much to take in in a single visit, but it has made one very big change to the way that we now operate: The core aim of the Eden is to re-educate and inspire people to realise that in every aspect of our lives we rely on plants. They plant rubber trees next to tyres, veggies next to the canteen and at the core, Eden inspires people to think about where there things come from; the most important part of sustainable living.
From now on you'll get the same total transparency with Rapanui, on our environment page and in short snippets to inform beside every product. We'd like to thank Mike at the 21st Century Living project; his enthusiasm was infectious, and were stoked to be going back to spin some yarn and see about getting our stuff in their store soon.
