The nature of mass movements is something that has puzzled us for ages; how do we get a million people to change the way they behave, and so change the planet for the better? Case Study: There's a crew of musicians Down Under leading one of the most inspiring campaigns of change this century and its for real; meet Blue King Brown.

We've been back and forth with the crew after falling in love with their amazing sound, but one look behind the scenes showed that BKB's music is a vehicle for much more. It is hard to describe the various branches of activism they concern themselves with; from nuclear power to desalination to Tibet, they seem to just have drive and passion, and with clear enough heads, loud enough voices and the integrity that is needed to cut through to the truth. Simply put, against all that is wrong and for all that is right, Blue King Brown stand up and represent.

They have literally created a movement, reminiscent of Rage Against the Machine at the New York Stock Exchange but with more focus. Their new album is out in 2009, we'll be hoping that their movement will snowball onto the world stage soon. When it does, we will be up the front row screaming our heads off.
