Sustain Magazine Governance Award 2011
Last year was a bit of a scoop season for Rapanui in the wake of our Traceability and Eco-labelling initiatives, designed to help people shop quickly, with a conscience. Our Governance Award from Sustain Magazine got 2011 off to a good start.
Last year we managed a finalists place at the Institute of Directors’ Enterprising Young Brits, delivered a live-podcast as the announcer read out our name as winners at the Sustainable Business Awards, scooped a highly commended place at the RSPCA Good Business Awards in London and now in 2011 we’re celebrating our biggest win yet – The Corporate Governance Award from Sustain Magazine.
The awards, held at the Troxy in East London celebrated 16 business’s contributions to a more sustainable UK. We beat off heavy industry competition from Balfour Beatty and Aggregate Industries to claim the Governance Award.
We’re stoked to have won but rather than see it as a reward, we’d like to think of this achievement as the start of something bigger for Rapanui – the first step on the way to making a real difference as a bigger, bolder company in 2011
